Bhutan
The Last Shangri-La.
Five days through the only carbon-negative country on earth — Thimphu's giant Buddha Dordenma overlooking the valley, the fortress-monastery of Punakha Dzong at the confluence of two rivers, and the cliffside hike to Paro Taktsang, the Tiger's Nest monastery, perched 900 metres above the valley floor.
